How do you decide between bumper repair and full replacement
My rear bumper got scuffed and slightly cracked in a parking lot and I am not sure whether it makes sense to repair it or just replace the whole thing. For those who have dealt with this before, what did you check first and how did you decide which way to go?

I would also ask how they handle paint, because color matching on a bumper is not the same as on a metal panel and a poor blend stays visible for years. That kind of detail makes it easier to compare quotes instead of guessing. Ask for the estimate in writing with timelines and parts specified, and be careful with any quote that seems unusually low without an explanation of what is being skipped.
